HevACS discussion and develoment
Re: HevACS discussion and develoment
@MirageC , I was trying to work with the files out on Github for the HevACS that are marked for Oleg. When I open them in simplify 3D they don't slice correctly as portions show as missing after slicing as if the part is not solid. Are there more updated files than what is in Github? If not I'll try to similarly recreate what is here. I was able to use the 515mm dual fan base and the fan holders, but the other parts won't work. Thanks.

Re: HevACS discussion and develoment
@MirageC @everyone who has printed the HEVAC parts.
I wanted to print the HEVAC and started printing with HevACS_315_340_MidDuct.stl.
But I have a problem with the print it bulges to the inside (see pictures) and i dont know why. There is a lot of tension on the walls. you can force the bulgo on the outside by pushing it out and it can be pushed back again.
I tried ABS and PC same results. I am printing in an enclosure with DIY PVA glue (DIY ABS glue for ABS) the warping at the bottom corners was minimal. I dont think this influenced the result.
Anyone can think of why the material bulges? walls to thin? design flaw??

Re: HevACS discussion and develoment
what do you mean by heat? overall enclosrure temp or the actual print temp?
the thing is the bulge appears in the lower third of the part..so it means this is where the heat of the heat bed should be greater, but on the other hand of how much of a difference in air temperature are we talking.. cant be much. And for the bulge means there is tension on the walls but only in the lower third thats whats bothering me in the troubleshooting. Because here the heat difference when cooling down should be lower then on the top therefore it should have less tension.. so honestly I dont get it.

Re: HevACS discussion and develoment
The difference between the print temp and the already cooled printed part.
The tension on the walls is almost negligible, but since it's a thin and long wall (that usually bends just by intensely staring at it =) ) it's enough to create the bulge.
That's just my hypothesis, but I didn't give much thought when it happened to me with PLA (since it was a test print for the filament).

but why isnt the bent then from bottom to top? its clearly only in the 1st third of the duct.. which led to my thought that it is connected to the heated bed. Your hypothesis would mean if I print with a cooler temp it wouldnt bend
