Block and rail uncertainty

Post by Alanjs1 »

In one of the BOM suppliers list show https://www.cnc-store.eu/index.php?rout ... th=105_175
As being a supplier for genuine Hiwin parts on their page for miniature guides and rails they have two sets of blocks that closely correspond with the BOM spreadsheet, but only one type of rail. Are the rails the same for both type of blocks and are these the both the correct blocks?
I am new to a lot of this and definitely don't want to spend unnecessary money on the wrong stuff, like blocks and rails. I believe these are the correct ones listed below, could someone please verify that this is correct or incorrect?
Also if both of these block utilized the same rail?
Bearing block MGN12CZ0H-M
Bearing block MGN12HZ0H-M
Guideway MGNR 12 R H
I apologize if this is a no-brainer but as I am unfamiliar with this hardware I just do not want to make any unnecessary buying mistakes.
Thanks

That’s correct, there are two types of blocks for the same type of rail.

And just for clarity the ones listed are the correct blocks?

Hi, no problem.

The block mgn12c or the block mgn12h is compatible with mgn12 rail. Between the holes mgn12c is 20x15 and between the holes of mgn12h is 20x20.
For the Hevort you need 2 mgn12c block for Y axis and for all other mgn block you need mgn12h block only.
